I have been pretty silent on the whole gay marriage subject, but I have finally had enough of this debate. It is time for me to chime in with my observations and opinions. First off, Every gay person in America has the right to get married. Every single one. What they do not have the right to do is get married to someone of the same sex. So in fact a gay person has the exact same right as I do. I have the right to marry the women of my choice and my wife has the right to marry the man of her choice. This right stays intact for gay people. A gay man can marry any unmarried women he wants to. Just as any lesbian can marry the unmarried man of her choice. It is their choice not to get married in the accepted way. more... Posted by: White Devil at 01:19 PM |

bi·par·ti·san I have heard a lot lately about bipartisanship and how we need to come together in a bipartisan way to help the economy. Well I am not a Harvard grad or a Constitutional Lawyer or a Speaker Of The House or even insightful journalist. I have a B.A. in History from a small Midwest college, that’s all. I do have one advantage over all the above mentioned people though, I know the definition of bipartisan. Even if I didn’t know the definition of bipartisan I do know how to look up the definition of the word. Yesterday the Obama Economic plan passed the house with a
vote of 244-188. Democrats voting for the plan:
244 Democrats voting against the plan: 11 Republicans voting for the plan: 0 Posted by: White Devil at 03:29 PM |

Sorry about the ugly blue and purple links. They are supposed to be white. Have been white for a long time. Not sure what has changed them. I am looking at all the code now. Thanks for your patients. Posted by: White Devil at 07:52 PM |

There are many ways we get stereotypes. We get them from our parents and the things they teach us. We get them from our peer groups and what they teach us. We get them from books, T.V., movies, etc. But the one place we get stereotypes that we seldom hear about is the very people or things we have stereotypes about. I bring this up because of a recent article I read about a movie that is playing in theaters right now. The reviewer said it was a great movie but it played to racial stereotypes. What stereotypes are being portrayed in the movie? Well the most basic ones. Young black men wearing baggy clothes, speaking English poorly and acting like criminals. more...Posted by: White Devil at 07:05 PM |

I have been pondering this for over a year now. I consider myself a conservative, not a Republican. I always vote republican because they are generally the only conservative option. As of late though I am not seeing a conservative option anywhere. Cant say that the GOP is conservative. Not after all the spending during the Bush years. Now that all the pigs on the farm ar rushing to bail out failed businesses, wish they would bail out my college loans, it seems I have no one to vote for. more... Posted by: White Devil at 03:53 PM |

Xinhua News China has asked Obama for permission to attack Taiwan. Well not in so many words but the meaning comes through clearly."Facing the current difficulties in military relations, we call for the United States to take concrete measures to remove the obstacles," Defense Ministry spokesman Hu Changming said. They are upset that the Bush administration sold arms to Taiwan so they could protect themselves. The question will be if Obama cares about Taiwan and freedom. When you have a President who is closer in political philosophy to the ChiComs then he is to the founders of the American Constitution, one has to wonder. Will he throw Taiwan under the bus as he has done with so many others for his own political gains or will he just turn a blind eye and let Taiwan fall into the clutches of the the red hordes. Time will tell. Posted by: White Devil at 01:51 PM |

Well today was a historic day for America. We have elected our first black president. Obama was not my choice but he is president and I will give him the respect that the office deserves and that should be given to all presidents. I do have a few observations today though. 1. It will now be difficult for those who make profit from racism to claim that the government is racist. If you claim the government is racist then Obama is racist. If you claim America is racist then Obama is racist. more... Posted by: White Devil at 01:28 PM |

Hi all, Been away for a while setting up my new life back in the states. Have not posted for a while but I will be coming back with a new revamped White Devil web page in the next week or so. Obviously I will have to make some changes since I no longer live in China. I will however still be posting about China. So stay tuned. Posted by: White Devil at 06:17 PM |

I have put a lot of thought into it and weighing various problems I have decided to leave China. The most important reason is I miss my wife and baby. But also China in the last few weeks has become not so accommodating of foreigners. Attacks at foreigners owned stores have become more common and I prefer to stay alive. While I have not been physicaly attacked I have been followed and protested because of my shopping habits. There is a perception here that many stores support the Tibetan cause and these stores are protested. There have been incidents in Shanghai of people being attacked for shopping at these stores. So I have sold my schools and will be returning to the U.S. perhaps in a few years when China grows up a little more I will return. Until then I will keep posting from the safety of my American home, surrounded by my loving family. Posted by: White Devil at 11:44 PM |
