 Today it seems that Hillary has received enough delegates to stay in the hunt for the Democratic nomination. I love this. I really want to see a floor fight at the convention but probable not for the same reasons as you. I am a history teacher. As a teacher an historian I like to see things get shaken up now and again. It is not very often that we get to see the political process working the way it is supposed to. It is not very often that we get to see the political process working the way it is supposed to. Usually the candidates have already been chosen by this time. Most of the last few states to vote really don't have a say in who the candidate is going to be. Well this year they do. As a historian the perfect outcome of all this would be that neither Clinton or Obama get the nod. A brokered nominee would be great. Something we can write about in the books and teach in class. What a chance students are having right now to learn about our process. In all honesty I was hoping for a floor fight on the GOP side too. What a glorious election this would have been.
