Muslim culture often isn't very well understood in America. To help sort out fact from fiction, ABC News addresses several common ways Muslims are misunderstood.

Who has this misconception. We all know that Muslim, Christian, Jewish etc. can be any race, any color from anywhere. Oh wait, unless you live in a Muslim country then if your not a Muslim they will kill you.

Misconception: Muslim women are oppressed and forced to wear the hijab.

Oh really? Please watch this Enough said, or saw or experienced. Can they really write this stuff with a straight face and expect people to believe it. Do they think we don't watch the news or get on the internet.

Misconception:Islam promotes violence and terrorism.

"Slay them wherever you find them...Idolatry is worse than carnage...Fight against them until idolatry is no more and God's religion reigns supreme." (Surah 2:190-) "Fighting is obligatory for you, much as you dislike it." (Surah 2:216) "If you should die or be slain in the cause of God, His forgiveness and His mercy would surely be better than all the riches..." (Surah 3:156-) "Seek out your enemies relentlessly." (Surah 4:103) "The Jews and Christians say: 'We are the children of God and His loved ones.' Say: 'Why then does He punish you for your sins?" (Surah 5:1 "Believers, take neither Jews nor Christians for your friends." (Surah 5:51) "If you fear treachery from any of your allies, you may fairly retaliate by breaking off your treaty with them." (Surah 8:51) "...make war on the leaders of unbelief...Make war on them: God will chastise them at your hands and humble them. He will grant you victory over them..." (Surah 9:12) Oh my dear god there are just to many of them for me to post. For a religion of peace they sure have a book full of orders to kill everyone.

Misconception:Nearly all American Arabs are recent immigrants.

Excuse me? I have never even heard of this. In all the discussions, arguments and fights I have had about Muslims I can not remember anyone talking about, pointing out, or even mentioning that Many Muslims have been in America for 4 generations. How long you have been here doesn't matter to me. 1 day or 200 years. If you want to kill me for not being a Muslim. Or kill your daughter because she wears blue jeans. Or stone a women who has been raped. Then you are on my shit list. If there was any doubt that the liberals and the main stream media are enemies of the U.S. this should close the case. I guess since I am a Christian I will just be angry about it and talk about it on my web page. If I where a Muslim on the other hand and they where promoting Christians and telling me how bad I was for hating Christians then I guess I would, Oh no guessing we all know what the PEACEFUL MUSLIMS DO.
